MALIM is a Bahasa Sug term which means 'guide' in English. As a noun, it also refers to a person that leads certain group of people for common goals and objectives. It is used as name of the Blogger Site of Lugmah Elementary School, Indanan South District, Indanan, Sulu. This Blogger Site name was designed by the TIC (Teacher In-Charge) of the school, Mr. Alnasvier I. Abduljalil. 


As a verb, MALIM shall guide every learner, teacher, parent and stakeholder from darkness to light. It leads them to see the reality of nothing. It makes them realize that the beginning of all starts with their dreams. It is MALIM that shall guide Lugmah ES Family to always dream big. In a dream, reality is always there like a spark of fire that spreads everywhere.

MALIM also looks into the growth and progress of Lugmah ES Family. It enables all stakeholders to keep in touch with one another in quest of inclusive and responsive education. Blogging serves as one of the best practices in carrying out  the school's vision how it is globally connected so that offspring Lugmah who are residing now in the four corners of the globe will be able to decide for their homecoming to their fatherland.

Utilization of social media like Facebook and Google+ is treated as the best networking of MALIM that will shade light about Lugmah ES Family to the various education stakeholders. Just this month of February, 2018, Asia America Initiative began to land in Lugmah ES. Its President, Prof. Albert M. Santoli provided funds for the School Mass Feeding Program for the entire learners of the school. Likewise, Sharifa Mharrojheanne A. Alih, District ICT/Planning/AAI Coordinator turned-over some chocolate and milo for the students.

MALIM begins with 'm' and ends in 'm', too. M denotes man. It attributes to Mohammad, the First and the Last Prophet in Islam. For every man, education is a must. Lugmah is one of the education service providers in Indanan South District, Indanan, Sulu. It has also 'm'. M in Lugmah shall appear like a full moon in the darkest sky. 

MALIM  is an adopted name for the school publication, school organ or newsletter of Lugmah Elementary School. To dig how the school came to light shall be the first write up of the school. As speculated, Lugmah might began provididng education among the residents of sitio Lugmah before the outbreak of Martial Law declared by President Ferdinand E. Marcos on September 21, 1972. 

It was just an annex primary school of Panglima Indanan Central School for past decades under the leadership of Mahabassar Asid, Principal I of PICS in 1991.
