Malim: Rise to return, Lugmah ES

It was Malim (The Teachers) that said, "Rise to return, Lugmah Elementary School. It was the actual appearance of the discussion in the meeting last March 21, 2018. Its rise began March 22, 2018. Lugmah Elementary School has now stood in her officially-donated school site like what she experienced before the declaration of Martial Law on September 21, 1972.

The First Malim in the First Faculty Meeting

After the meeting in the old school shack, Lugmah Elementary School, March 21, 2018, Sir Alnasvier I. Abduljalil, the TIC of the school gathered all the learning facilitators for pictures. They kept together for progress. They stood by the concrete road towards the original school site. It was a sign of their happiness for the success of their upcoming activities.

In the faculty meeting, Ms. Durisa I. Ainal sat with Lugmah Elementary School teachers. One of the discussions focused on the Kindergarten Moving Up and Recognition Ceremony for the entire grade levels. She decided to join her Day Care learners' Moving Up with Lugmah Elementary School. She had 13 Day Care learners. She did not mind the venue which would be the newly-constructed canopy out of bamboos and coconut leaves as roofs in the official school site at about a kilometer away from the main road. She reported during the conference that all her Day Care learners would be eager for the Moving Up Ceremony by March 29, 2018.

The main focus of the meeting was the construction of canopy in the school site. It was already agreed among the PTA officers, parents and community members that they would start preparing all the materials by March 22, the following day.

Prospective enrollment was also taken up in the conference.

In the School Site of Lugmah ES Now

This was what I saw everytime I go. They look at me; that's why I I gave them a shot from my CP. I can hear them saying, "Don't be afraid of what you think. This place is safe for you to progress. People will come here but you are the first. They trust this area even they leave us here unattended."

I, the TIC of the school am so certain. All I have planned will surely happen. Last March 21, 2018, I went with the PTA officers and other parents to the nearby site of the school. That day was the start of cutting some bamboos for the materials of the canopy. I felt so much pity of the male parents seeing them supporting me with much efforts. I heard most of them saying that their school children would be getting near to the school. They even disseminate the information to the entire neighborhood of Lugmah. In my observation, it was the main reason why they were so cooperative with me, the TIC of Lugmah Elementary School.

Lugmah ES Has Free T-shirt for the PTA Officers

The TIC was surprised to know the pieces of t-shirt. The color was purely white. In front, black printing was the school logo followed by Lugmah Elementary School. Underneath was the name of the district where Lugmah Elementary School belongs. At the back was black printing of GPTCA that stands for General Parent-Teachers Association. Under it was the position of the parent in the association.

Sir Alnasvier I. Abduljalil did not mention the donor. He just expressed his thanks posted in Facebook Website. It was beyond expectation of the TIC. The donor was so supportive for the return of Lugmah Elementary School to the original school site.

Surely, I Can, Sir

One of our Grade 1 pupils told me that he would go with us to the original site of Lugmah Elementary School by June, 2018. The TIC of Lugmah Elementary School, Sir Alnasvier I. Abduljalil was kidding with the schoolchild. He was so happy hearing the schoolchild saying those words.

"What grade are you in by June" Sir Alnasvier I. Abduljalil asked the schoolchild.

"Grade 2, Sir" the schoolchild responded.

"Can you touch your left with your right hand" the TIC asked.

"Surely, I can, Sir" the child immediately dit it.

"Your right ear with your left hand" Sir Alnasvier instructed.

"Surely, I can, Sir" the child happily did it.

Sir Alnasvier I. Abduljalil was reminded of the one of the practices those days by traditional teachers. Those days, age qualification for Grade 1 learner was 7 years old. If the teacher would doubt the age of a child, the teacher asked the child to touch left ear with right hand and right ear with left hand. If a child could do it, the teacher would surely admit the child in Grade 1 class.
